Load Disc

Located on menu:

Project

Shortcut key:

None

Enabled when:

Always

Dialog displayed:

Select CD/DVD Drive

Toolbar button:

Drives.gif

Displays a dialog that lets you select a removable media to load into the Project window. The dialog displays the available CD/DVD drives on the system and the status for each drive (i.e. Not Ready or a media description like Audio CD, SuperCDG, etc.). For more details please refer to the Select CD/DVD Drive dialog description.

A shortcut directly to each available CD/DVD drive is available by clicking on the drop down arrow Drop_down_menu.gif to the left of the Drives.gif button. The drop down menu displayed has one item for each CD/DVD drive.

When an audio CD (or Karaoke disc) is loaded CDGFix by default consults the freedb online media database to retrieve disc and track information. If only one single match is found this is accepted and the information is loaded into the Project window. If more than one match is found for the disc you will be prompted with the Select Disc dialog to choose the correct disc information. The freedb behaviour is controlled by the options on the freedb Lookup page in the Settings dialog.

CDGFix by default loads a disc automatically when inserted into one of the CD/DVD drives, and the disc is automatically ejected when the project is closed. This behaviour can be controlled by selecting the various options on the CD/DVD-Drives / Reading page in the Settings dialog.

Please note that the Load Disc command (and the Select CD/DVD Drive dialog) depends on the ASPI layer. Please refer to the ASPI description for more details and troubleshooting.
